What is e-conveyancing?
e-conveyancing is a system that allows the buying, selling and registration of land and property in England and Wales electronically. The government want to introduce it in order to streamline the conveyancing process, make it less cumbersome, time-consuming and stress-inducing.
It will work by supplying all the necessary information needed for conveyancing online, and provide a mechanism for the financial transactions to be carried out simultaneously. Land will automatically be registered on completion.
The Land Registry is introducing e-conveyancing in stages. On this site you can read about what’s happening and whether you can take advantage of it yet.
